Electromagnetic Flow Meter / EMFM-HFD3000

Selection principle:
The measured fluid must be conductive liquid or slurry. Its conductivity shall not be less than 5μs/cm, and the measured fluid shall not contain much ferromagnetic substance or air bubbles. The suitable pressure ,grade, lining material, electrode material, and the instrument structure shall be selected in accordance with the characters of the temperature, working pressure, corrosiveness, abrasiveness, etc. of the measured fluid.
Nominal bore selection:
It would be best if the measured fluid flow velocity is between 0.3-15m/s since in such cases flow meter bore can be selected same as user’s pipeline diameter.
If the measured fluids flow velocity is lower than 0.3m/s, then in the flow meter position flow velocity can be partially increased to ensure high accuracy(by selecting a smaller flow meter bore size).
Selection of electrode and grounding ring material
Electrode material should be selected according to the measured fluids’ corrosiveness.Material | Anti-corrosion features |

Titanium(Ti) | It can be proof against corrosion of sea water, various kinds of chlorides and hypochlorite, oxidizing acid (including fuming nitric acid),organic acid, alkali, etc., while not proof against corrosion of purer reductive acid (e.g. sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid).But, if the acid contains oxidizing agents (e.g. nitric acid),the corrosiveness will be greatly reduced. |
Tantalum(Ta) | It has good corrosion resistance property. It can resist corrosion of almost all chemicals including hydrochloric acid, nitric acid, sulfuric acid and aqua regia except hydrofluoric acid, fuming sulphuric acid, and alkali. |
Platinum(Pt) | Almost suitable for all chemical substance not include aqua regia and ammonium salt. |
